14 sheets Rice Paper sheets (approx.)
2 Tbsp Aquafaba - liquid from cooked garbanzo beans
3 Tbsp Tamari - or soy sauce
3 Tbsp Nooch - short for nutritional yeast
1/2 Tbsp Maple syrup
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
pinch smoked paprika & blk. pepper
In a flat bowl, stir everything but the rice paper. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Using Sharp scissors, cut 2 sheets of rice paper into strips and dip them in a bowl of water for just a second. Keep doing that for several more strips so the moisture can start to hold the strips together. Go back and now dip your strips into the marinade you've stirred up (above). Place each marinated strip on a parchment paper that will go right onto the oven rack! You should be able to make @21 strips of 2ply rice paper bacon from this marinade. Bake about 7 minutes then you may want to turn over for another minute. Watch not to burn. Freeze leftovers.... if you have any :-).
