Mango Zinger

serves 2

10 oz. frozen mango chunks (approx. 2 cups)
1 fresh or frozen banana
1-2 cups non-dairy milk of choice
1 cup pre-soaked medjool dates in warm/hot water
2” piece fresh ginger, peeled
1/2 tsp turmeric or 1 small fresh turmeric root
1-2 cups ice

Pre-soak dates in hot water for an hour. Drain and remove pits. If you have a high-speed blender: Drop ginger (and turmeric if using fresh) into the running blender to break up into bits. Add mango, dates, banana and 1 cup milk. Blend and add more milk and ice to eat with a spoon or straw.
