Creamy Golden Gravy

(Recipe courtesy of Mary McDougall: drmcdougall.com)
Makes 2 cups

2 cups vegetable broth or boullion mixed with water
2 Tbsp soy sauce or Bragg’s liquid aminos
2 Tbsp Tahini (optional)
1/4 cup brown rice flour - make at home using a coffee grinder!*
Pepper or additional dried herbs to taste

Place broth, Braggs, tahini (if using) and rice flour in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and whisk, over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth and thick. Add pepper to taste and serve. Leftovers might need a touch of water to reheat as it thickens next day.

*If you made your rice flour at home, you might want to blenderize to smooth out any texture.
